As parents, we all want to make sure our children receive the best dental care possible. Do you know why it’s important that your child see an orthodontic specialist in addition to their general or pediatric dentist?
What You Can’t See
No one knows your kids better than you do! It’s possible that you may notice that their smile is a little crooked. You may even notice common concerns like teeth crowding or bite problems. But an orthodontic specialist, like our
orthodontists, can see other concerns that may be below the surface. Problems can lie beneath the gums that orthodontic specialists are trained to see. In fact, the
AAO estimates that two-thirds of what happens in your mouth is below the surface. In addition to years of specialty training and experience, our team uses orthodontic tools to diagnose your child’s unique concerns.
Customized Treatment Plans
Because no two mouths are the same, it’s important to see a board-certified orthodontist. Our doctors create a unique treatment plan that addresses your child’s individual concerns. When your child is in our care, they are our most important patient. We will take the time to carefully create a treatment plan that will result in the most beautiful and healthy smile possible. We’ll also take the time to explain the diagnosis and treatment plan in detail. And, of course, we’re always happy to answer any questions you or your child may have.
Complimentary New Patient Exams
Our
team sees patients of all ages. Whether you’re 7 or 77, there’s no reason that you can’t achieve the smile of your dreams. And new patient exams are always free and never require a referral! It is recommended that each child sees an orthodontic specialist by the age of 7. Early appointments can help predict potential problems and will help determine the course of treatment. Even if your child is not quite ready for orthodontic treatment, we will continue to monitor them (at no additional charge!) until it is determined that they are ready.
