Board-Certified Orthodontist Joins TW Orthodontics in Alabama
TW Orthodontics provides comprehensive orthodontic services in Andalusia, Enterprise, Montgomery, and Selma, Alabama. We have established a reputation for quality orthodontic care that is consistent across our four offices. In keeping with our commitment to providing excellent orthodontics, we would like to introduce the newest addition to our team, Dr. Jeremy Scarpate.
Education and Qualifications
Dr. Scarpate is a board certified orthodontist with an impressive set of qualifications. His educational background begins with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences earned from Auburn University. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he joined the United States Air Force as a commissioned officer and was awarded a scholarship to attend the University of Florida College of Dentistry.
During a 20 year military career, Dr. Scarpate went on to complete residencies in general dentistry and orthodontics. At his last duty station, he was an instructor at the military’s Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program (TORP) and the Air Force’s Comprehensive Dentistry Residency at Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland AFB in Texas. Prior to joining the TW family from San Antonio, Dr. Scarpate retired from the Air Force, having attained the rank of Colonel.
A Board Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Scarpate is a board certified orthodontist with the American Board of Orthodontics. To earn this certification an orthodontist must complete specific education and requirements in the field. The final step is an interview by a panel from the American Board of Orthodontics to be officially certified. The process requires discipline and effort that goes far beyond the basic requirements of an orthodontist, and Dr. Scarpate has earned this distinction.
Background and Personal Story
Happy to be back home in Alabama, Dr. Scarpate talks about his life in the military: "I grew up in a military family, and then joined the military, so I’ve lived all over the world. But Alabama has always felt like home to me, and TW Orthodontics is exactly the type of practice I was determined to join."
He has moved back to the area with his wife and their four children. In his spare time he supports his children in their activities and roots for the Auburn Tigers and the Arsenal Gunners English soccer team. As a family man, he has an excellent rapport with children and youth, making him uniquely qualified to provide orthodontic care to patients of all ages.
